John Deere Celebrates 175^th Anniversary with Green Carpet Sponsorship at Canadian Country Music Awards

Partnership emphasizes strong bond between country music and agriculture

John Deere announces corporate sponsorship of the 2012 Canadian Country Music Association (CCMA) Awards Green Carpet, which will be held on September 9 in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. As stated by Sarah McIntosh, John Deere’s Shows & Events Coordinator for Canada, the sponsorship is a natural fit for the leading farm equipment manufacturer.

“We are excited to sponsor the CCMA Awards for the first time in 2012,” she said. “The sponsorship ties well to our year-long celebration of John Deere’s 175^th anniversary. The Canadian Country Music Association Awards are marking their 30^th anniversary, and with both so deeply rooted in the culture of Western Canada, this is a very appropriate way to celebrate.”

As part of the sponsorship, John Deere will display its 6R, 7R, powerful 9R tractor and versatile 825i Gator utility vehicle. Equipment will be supplied by sponsoring dealers, Farm & Garden Centre and Western Sales. The famous John Deere name and logo will be on display throughout the awards and related activities.

It also will be a time for John Deere to celebrate 175 years of service to farmers and ranchers and point the way toward a bright future for Canadian agriculture.
